Dr. Rodrigo Franco Cruz, a Professor of Biomedical Sciences at the Redox Biology Center and the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL), will present this seminar. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), and was postdoctoral fellow at the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) from the National Institutes of Health (NIH). Since 2009, he has led an independent research group that focuses on studying the role of redox signaling, protein/organelle quality control mechanisms, and metabolism in neurodegenerative diseases and brain injury.
