Former Stanback Fellow Amanda Niza González Mejía, a senior at Duke Kunshan University, was selected for the Schwarzman Scholars program, a competitive year-long, fully funded master’s program in global affairs at Tsinghua University in Beijing. Her cohort of 150 scholars — chosen from a pool of about 5,800 applicants — represents 40 countries and 83 universities.

As a Stanback Fellow, González Mejía worked with the Natural Resources Defense Council on a tool to support climate adaptation and infrastructure projects. That experience “significantly shaped my academic and professional direction,â€� she noted.  on Duke Today.
